In our final video from this week's #ETSISec2024 week, we hear from Dr. Galina Diker Pildush, of Palo Alto Networks. At the conference she delivered a keynote presentation on 'Impersonation and Psychological Warfare - Protecting the Children'. In this video Galina speaks to that same theme, particularly on how securing mobile networks is vital, but also how education can make a real difference and help make kids aware of the issues and threats when using connected devices. She discusses how CyberSec should be embraced by the population as a whole, also how Governments are reacting to the threats, and how regulation and standards work together. An exciting day 3 of the ETSI Security Conference brought a strong focus on Quantum Safe Cryptography. Highlights of the session included a keynote by Dustin Moody (NIST) and a live laser demo of quantum wave principles - Seeing is believing and this was a great demonstration of a complex topic. With the starting gun fired on 6G earlier this year in 3GPP, the conference also explored the #5G to #6G ‘evolution or revolution’ challenge. More brilliant speakers and content to come on Day 4, with the impact of Regulation on products and services and a session dedicated to securing transport and other critical communications. The available presentations will soon be uploaded here: https://lnkd.in/dHTiTjVj #ETSISec2024 #QSC #cybersecurity

Our third video, recorded during this week’s ETSI Security Conference features Matthew Campagna, Engineer & Cryptographer – working for Amazon Web Services (AWS). He is a member of the ETSI Security Algorithms Group of Experts (SAGE) and Chair of ETSI TC CYBER - Quantum Safe Cryptography Working Group. As a member of the #ETSISec2024 Programme Committee, Matt was excited to bring together Government agencies and the Regulators to discuss their needs with the standards experts, across two conference sessions on the QSC theme. In his ‘ETSI Cyber QSC Update’, in the conference, he outlined industry’s progress towards QSC and post-QSC standards in the coming years. In this video Matt covers that progression and looks to the future, where quantum computing continues to progress – increasing the momentum towards migrating all systems to post-quantum security.
