  • 🚀 Graduation Milestone for S2ABC European Standard Course on Sport Administration - we are thrilled to announce the successful graduation of 35 participants from 11 countries! 🎓 🌍 This programme, designed to develop the next generation of sport administrators, brought together professionals from across Europe and the Western Balkans. Having first met in Tirana (Albania) back in March, and having participated in online modules covering Strategy, Leadership, and Marketing, participants met for the last time in Podgorica (Montenegro) in September, where they were challenged to put the theory into practice, work in groups to design innovative sport clubs and present them to potential funders. The event also offered valuable cultural experiences and insights into the Montenegrin sport system. 🎊 The official graduation ceremony was a wonderful way to cap off this exciting journey, with inspiring speeches from distinguished guests such as Dušan Simonović (President of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee), Dragoslav Šćekić (Minister of Sports and Youth of Montenegro), and Kirstie Simpson, EOSE President and S2ABC Course Director. A big thank you to our partners and the Montenegrin Olympic Committee (Maja Peković) for hosting this memorable event! 📸 To read the full story, see photos from the event, and hear participant testimonials, head over to the full article on our website >>> https://lnkd.in/eqAU_zQD #S2ABC #ErasmusPlus #CapacityBuilding #WesternBalkansxEU

  • *** “Adapted Marketing and Communication” Module Concludes Online Learning for Sport Administrators *** From 9th to 11th July 2024, the final module of the S2ABC European Standard Course on Sport Administration, titled “Adapted Marketing and Communication,” was held. This EU-funded project focuses on enhancing the skills of sport administrators in the Western Balkans and Europe. 37 participants from 11 countries gained valuable insights into effective communication and marketing for sport organisations. Following previous modules on Strategy and Leadership, this module was conducted online via Zoom, included lectures, interactive activities, and group work. Led by Course Director Kirstie Simpson, participants learned to differentiate between effective and ineffective communication, key digital communication skills, and how to adapt communication to the audience. The marketing sessions covered fundamental principles of marketing, data privacy, and the impact of digital technologies. The final day focused on managing digital identity and fostering collaborative relationships. A highlight was the guest presentation by Maja Peković from the Montenegrin Olympic Committee, providing real-world insights into sports marketing and the differences between corporate and sport organisations' marketing. As the S2ABC project moves towards its Course Graduation Event in Podgorica, Montenegro, in September 2024, participants can now apply their enhanced marketing and communication knowledge within their respective organisations. #S2ABC #ErasmusPlus #CapacityBuilding #WesternBalkansxEU S2ABC Partners: - EOSE - European Observatoire of Sport and Employment - Université catholique de Louvain - Belgium - National Olympic Committee of North Macedonia - Sport University of Tirana – Albania - National Olympic Committee of Albania - Komiteti Olimpik Kombëtar Shqiptar - University of Pristina – Faculty of Sport and Physical Education – Kosovo - National Olympic Committee of Montenegro

  • The EOSE Executive Board gathered in Malta in June 2024. The meeting was hosted by SportMalta and served as a pivotal moment for discussing the strategic development of our organisation and exploring future opportunities for collaboration and activities towards skills development in the sport sector. One of the highlights of the event was the opportunity to meet with representatives from National Statistics Office - Malta to share latest statistics about the sport labour market and discuss the trends and challenges within the sport sector. The board members visited several newly established sport facilities, which underscore Malta's commitment to inspire Maltese people and transform the nation through sport and through innovative, fun and meaningful sporting experiences. Our time in Malta also afforded us the opportunity to connect with the director of the Jarhead Young Sailors Foundation. This non-profit organisation leverages the sport of sailing as an educational tool for children and young adults facing difficulties. The EOSE Executive Board's meeting in Malta was not just a step towards our organisational growth but also an enriching experience that highlighted the power of sport in various facets of society. The collaborations and experiences we shared during this visit will undoubtedly fuel our mission to advance the landscape of sport and employment across Europe.
