The PATH2DEA project promotes digitalisation as a key tool to enhance agroecology, reducing the distance between farmers & digital tools, and supporting technology adoption 🌱 As part of its ongoing activities, the project has also established a Digital Agroecology Cluster and is now organising a webinar series with two peer projects: D4AgEcol project and ReForest. ❓ Are you interested in finding out more on how we can restore degraded soils, empower young farmers, and promote sustainable agriculture in the sub-Saharan African region? Follow us in our 4 year-journey in co-developing context-specific, people centered agroforestry innovations. 🚀 The GALILEO EU-AU project Kick-Off Meeting held last week in Dakar, Senegal (12-13th February) was a success! It was a fantastic opportunity for all our partners to meet, connect, and align with our shared vision. We discussed the key activities ahead, outlined our action plan, and set clear milestones to guide our work in the coming months. 🗓️ 🌍 The meeting included country-specific working group sessions—Senegal, Kenya, Ghana, and Cameroon—where we exchanged and explored the unique needs and strategies for each country. 🌱📍A memorable part of our trip in Senegal, was the opportunity to visit the Kaydara Agroecology School Farm, hosted by our partner Association Jardins d’Afrique. Located in the Fatick region, where over 60% of the land is affected by salinisation, Kaydara proves that even degraded soils can be revitalized through agroecology and agroforestry. 🍓 It was fascinating to observe how they practice intercropping by cultivating strawberries alongside onions — Demonstrating that sustainable and ecological farming can flourish even in the most challenging conditions! 🙌 A huge thank you to all involved for their dedication and commitment to making this project a success.
