Exciting News from Madeira and Porto Santo! 🌴 We are thrilled to announce the successful launch of an integrated ticketing system on the beautiful Portuguese islands of Madeira and Porto Santo, powered by Flowbird ticketing equipment! Delivered by the Autonomous Region of Madeira, this new system unites three bus operators under the SIGA network, offering seamless travel for both locals and visitors. Key Highlights: ➡ Comprehensive Equipment: Over 500 bus driver consoles and on-bus validators, plus self-service ticket vending machines for smartcard purchases and top-ups ➡Multi-Channel Retailing: Use the new GIRO smartcard, paper tickets, or the passenger app across multiple transport operators ➡Future Enhancements: Vehicle locations and arrival times will soon be displayed in vehicles and at stops. This project, between Flowbird and our local partners Neves & Neves, is set to transform the travel experience on these islands, making it more efficient and user-friendly.
