We like to think of ourselves, and our global community as ‘collaborative activists’. We co-create initiatives and support hundreds of projects across our beloved planet. All of our donations go directly to our work on the ground, and we are committed to being fully transparent about our progress and impact along the way. By valuing and forming partnerships with world leaders, scientists, NGOs, businesses, philanthropists, and communities most at risk, we help them build a more conscious future. We believe we all need to change our relationship with the planet, so we can co-exist responsibly, and prosperously. BeMed Open call for micro-initiatives 📢 Faced with increasing plastic pollution in the Mediterranean Sea, the Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco called on the Fondation Tara Océan, Surfrider Foundation Europe and the MAVA Foundation to join forces and launch the Beyond Plastic Med (BeMed) initiative in 2015. Since its creation, BeMed has supported more than 100 projects to improve plastic waste management, collect data, raise awareness and support the introduction of new regulations. In 10 years, BeMed has committed more than €3 million to deploying solutions in the field. This call for projects enable new project leaders to strengthen the impact of their initiatives. #FPA2Initiatives - On Friday, October 11th, the second edition of "The Arctica & Antarctica Mission Report" took place at the Yacht Club de Monaco. Florian Heinze and Matteo Monzali, two early-career researchers who participated in the High North24 Campaign expedition to the Arctic, led by the ISTITUTO IDROGRAFICO DELLA MARINA presented their experience and findings. Their research aboard the Italian Navy’s ship ‘Alliance’ was funded by the Foundation's Polar Initiative and focused on hydrographic analyses in the Arctic region. This event also marked the formalization of a partnership between the Polar Initiative and the Istituto Idrografico della Marina, reinforcing their commitment to fostering early-career scientists and advancing polar research. This collaboration highlights the initiative's dedication to capacity building and empowering young researchers to shape the future of polar science. 🇫🇷 Le vendredi 11 octobre, la deuxième édition de « The Arctica & Antarctica Mission Report » a eu lieu au Yacht Club de Monaco. #FPA2PhotoAward - As part of the 75th anniversary celebrations of Monaco's membership in UNESCO, an exhibition of the 2024 Environmental Photography Award is held in Paris at the UNESCO House until October 14th. During the inauguration, Monaco's Ambassador to UNESCO, H.E. Anne-Marie Boisbouvier, highlighted the power of photography to raise awareness about environmental issues. Over a hundred attendees, including senior UNESCO officials and numerous young students, were present at the event. We were honoured to participate in the 2nd edition of the World Living Soils Forum, hosted by our esteemed partners Moët Hennessy and ChangeNOW, from October 8-9 in Arles. This impactful event focused on driving the critical shifts needed in agribusiness to support sustainable practices. Our CEO, Olivier Wenden, was invited to join a panel discussion, sharing insights on the Importance of Soils in the Education and Training of Future Farmers and Leaders.
