#CFF2024 The Climate Finance Forum has wrapped up! ✅ This forum was an incredible opportunity to bring together the OCTs, mobilize them to carry a collective voice for change, look beyond standard already-tested solutions, venture off the beaten path, and reach common proposals. 🌍 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗖𝗧𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺𝘀 All territories are exposed to serious impacts from climate change (tornadoes, hurricanes, flooding, rising temperatures of 4°C, ice melt, rising sea levels, warming waters, coral impacts, and more). 💬 𝗔 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 Not all questions found answers, but concrete solutions to facilitate direct access to Climate Finance were proposed. 🤝 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗱 OCTs are governments that are geographically distant from each other, yet they have so much in common. This forum allowed them to connect with counterparts, benefit from each other's experiences, and share both challenges and solutions already being implemented. #CFF2024 DAY 4 🌱 Summary of the fourth day of the GO Climate Finance Forum Participants explored innovations aimed at strengthening financial resilience and private financing in the OCTs. International experts and representatives presented successful initiatives while highlighting the challenges faced. Here are a few examples of innovative solutions developed during the day ↓ 💡 Pre-arranged financial mechanisms to address climate-related disaster. By integrating instruments such as contingent disaster loans and climate-resilient debt clauses, these tools aim to provide rapid funding, reducing reliance on post-crisis debt. 💡 Parametric insurance system like CCRIF, that offers quick payouts based on triggers related to climate events.
