At Happy.Rentals, we provide professional holiday rental and property management services across Switzerland, Italy, France, Spain, Slovenia, Croatia, Greece, Belgium, Malta, Montenegro, Hungary and Albania. We are an international company based in Lugano, with a dedicated team of professionals who take care of everything for both guests and homeowners, providing assistance from booking till departure and excellent management services. Established in 2008 in the famous Lake Como area, we now have more than 35 local offices throughout Europe and we are proud to offer a wide range of holiday homes for every budget, taste and type of vacation: cosy mountain chalets, modern city studios, breathtaking luxury villas and serene countryside retreats. We aim to constantly develop and deliver our positive, professional service to new holiday locations!

    Have you heard about the $709B opportunity reshaping business travel?   Bleisure—the blend of business and leisure travel—has quietly emerged as one of the most significant trends in corporate travel. It’s getting more popular, and definitely something interesting for the short-term rental industry.   I travel around Europe constantly for business (our local offices range from Spain to Switzerland, France to Greece), and it’s always nice to add an extra few days to relax.   Navan reports that 89% of business travelers want to add personal time to their trips, and it’s estimated that American business travelers add leisure time to about 60% of trips.   It feels like the mindset around business travel is finally shifting to a more balanced approach: combining business and travel.   This trend is a gamechanger in the short-term rental space.   What’s driving this shift? The rise of remote work and the increasing focus on work-life balance. Business travelers are no longer just looking for a place to sleep—they’re searching for properties that offer reliable Wi-Fi, comfortable workspaces, and access to local attractions.   For us in short-term rentals, it means adapting to the needs of both professionals and also families.   Business travelers staying for longer is also great for occupancy and revenue.     Switzerland Tourism is targeting business travellers for the first time.    Exciting? Totally!   I have been in the tourism industry long enough to tell you that business travel existed way before the craziness of leisure travel today.    But this category of travellers was never considered as tourists – Blending Work Trips with Leisure.    And I think changing that would open so many new doors.   Viewing business travellers as tourists allows us to reach a completely new audience and expand our market.    Why should short-term rentals be considered only for leisure travellers when we have so many business visitors? It doesn’t make sense, does it?   It’s not just me who thinks like that:    According to Skift, about 60% of business travellers extended their trips for leisure in the past three months in Switzerland.   At Happy.Rentals, we’re definitely thinking about this and for me, the answer lies in targeting.    For example, if you’re interested in capturing this market, here are a few things you can consider to host more business travellers:   → Offering essential amenities (e.g., reliable Wi-Fi, workspaces, etc.) → Providing automated check-in/check-out (preferably mobile or contactless) → Ensuring a convenient location (close to city centres or public transportation)   Let me know your thoughts below!   Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/eQUNxnhu
