Sebastien presented how the inclusion of patients from community hospitals, together with university hospitals and other major comprehensive centers, is key to achieving full #representativity and #extrapolability of results. 🇫🇷 Internship Opportunity at Horiana! 🇫🇷   📢 We are looking for a 6-month intern in #datascience or #biostatistics (MSc level), starting in early 2025 and based in #Bordeaux, France.   👉 Horiana is a leading company in biostatistics and data science, providing cutting-edge methods to healthcare and lifescience companies. Our innovative approaches include Emulated Target Trials (#ETT) and External Control Arms (#ECA), which leverage #secondary use databases. One of the key challenges in these designs is managing #missing data, which can lead to biases and the exclusion of valuable patient data.   ✅ In the context of EET and ECA, the intern will be in charge of developing and implementing #imputation models based on machine learning algorithms. 🚨Science Break !   📢 We are glad to highlight today a joint collaboration with Unicancer !   🚀 The aim of the study was to supplement a #single-arm trial by providing an external control arm. This control was based on #ESME-mBC cohort (a 🇫🇷#RealWorld cohort in breast cancer) ,with 137 patients (selected from an initial population of 19,867 patients) matched to those previously included in the clinical study.   👉The matching was based on a propensity score #caliper method, also known as Nearest Neighbor Matching (NNM). 🇺🇸 Stepping in GenAI for creating value from #RealWorld Data in #Healthcare 📢 Over the past three months, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming two engineering trainees, Félix (École Polytechnique) and Luka (Télécom SudParis), to our #SanFrancisco offices. They have been working on #GenAI projects focused on synthetic data in exploring models such as #cGANs, #VAEs, and #LLMs. 🙏 We extend our special thanks to FACCSF | French American Chamber of Commerce of San Francisco for the support in obtaining visas for Luka and Felix, and to the #AI community in the #Bay Area for the enriching discussions and meet-ups they were able to attend with best-in-class techs & scientists. 🚀 With this project, Horiana is making significant strides in the GenAI digital twins, offering our customers top-notch #simulations and #synthetic data to expedite research program and create value from real-world and clinical data. 📃Publications should come within few months, stay tuned !
