The Netherlands is known for its cycling culture and many colleagues come to our head office in Enschede by bike. HoSt Group stimulates this with a Fietsend-naar-je-werk'-tag (cycle-to-work-tag) and recently we provided tag number 100 to one of our colleagues. 🚲 With these tags and the 'Fietsend-naar-je-werk' system, every participating colleague receives a tag on their bike. The tag tracks their cycling and each kilometer earns them 'bikies', a special currency for awesome rewards. Right now our recorded cycled kilometers equals 4 times the circumference of the earth, which equals the reduction of 29,000 kg of CO2 emissions. 🌱 This is just the recorded number, in reality, we have even more colleagues cycling to our head office - and not only in the Netherlands, our colleagues in our international offices in Europe and North America also cycle to work. Efficient heat exchange and recovery isn't solely about optimizing biogas production, it's also about the reduction of operational costs and maximization of energy use. Heat exchange and recovery is an important part of our biogas technology. 🌱 Heat exchanger and recovery systems from HoSt come in two options: direct heat recovery from digestate or heat recovery in combination with heat pumps. Both effectively recover heat from digestate, which can then be utilized to heat either the incoming liquid feed or the digesters. Maximizing energy efficiency, as well as reducing operating costs significantly. Interested to learn more about our heat exchange and recovery technology or biogas technology? Meet HoSt next week at Salón del Gas Renovable in Valladolid, Spain. Find us at stand 299B. Or learn more know → https://lnkd.in/dD_yKd46 #biogas #heatrecovery #biogastechnology #hightech

"First of all, we offer a wide range of interesting positions. It’s not a bureaucratic organization where it takes five years before you can start something. No, you can think of something today and make it happen within two years. Our strength lies in our capacity to implement ideas very quickly. I give our employees lots of responsibility and want them to work independently. This means they’ll also be more versatile going forward." says Herman Klein Teeselink, founder HoSt Group, during an interview with U-Today. U-Today interviewed Herman and Jelle Klein Teeselink, CEO / owner of HoSt Group, about the history of HoSt Group, the technology, and company culture. Stunning progress at the project site - the past weeks the HoSt team worked hard to ensure the placements of the roofs at the four digester thanks. The project is located in Vashkai, Lithuania. Thanks to our hardworking team and HoSt Latvia we were able to place the roofs on 2 of the 4 digesters. Next up is the installation of the roofs of the other two digesters. Thereafter, the team will work and install the next major delivery: the control & utility unit, header unit, and oxygen unit. Interested to learn more about our biogas technology? Visit HoSt on October 1-2 at Salon del Gas Renovable in Valladolid, Spain. At booth 299B, the HoSt team can tell you in detail about our technology and assist you with your biogas project. #project #Lithuania #milestone #biogas

The HoSt team looks back on a successful cold commissioning of the RDF-fired heat and power plant in Europe. Cold commissioning is the first phase of commissioning a combustion plant, followed by hot commissioning. During this phase, the HoSt team ran multiple tests and performed technical checks. The facility is a 15MWth RDF fired, 1.8MWe CHP plant. The client produces renewable heat and power, using refuse-derived fuel as a waste stream from their paper factory manufacturing processes. Utilizing these streams reduces the factory’s natural gas consumption by half, which is a great leap forward to a sustainable future. Hot commissioning is planned for next month.
