Charles and his team implemented the Customer-Back Innovation framework to develop a highly differentiated door lock for front-load washers, which led to him being named a Special Award winner by ITW's Patent Society. The product, named the ZV-447 Series Solenoid Door Lock, has positioned ITW as the leader in terms of market share and technical expertise.     What an exciting crossover event for IWN and APEN Upper Midwest Chapters!! At the end of July, MTS hosted the annual event for both chapters that included presentations on the Enterprise Strategy by Katie Lawler and Patty Hartzell. We also got to hear about Sarah Beranek’s career story. We had other great presentations and learned an Indian dance as well. We were able to gather over 100 colleagues to focus the meeting on our mission of attract, develop and retain. Thank you to all that helped organize this event and the speakers!

    ITW's Food Equipment segment provides commercial kitchen equipment that offers world-class performance in low energy usage and water consumption. As part of our enterprise-wide commitment to continuous improvement, environmental benefits are often the focus of design enhancements. Recent examples include: - Our Hobart business has improved the design of its rack-type dishwasher CS line to reduce water and energy consumption, enabling the use of 40% less rinse water consumption compared with the market standard and generating an energy savings of up to 7 kwh per hour. - Foster’s new EcoShow with frameless glass doors provides an 80% energy savings compared with doorless models. Additionally, through a revision of the construction and system architecture, the Gamko Maxiglass MG3 bottle cooler provides up to 30% energy savings per year compared with the previous model.
