Following InfraVision Think Tank For Sustainable Infrastructure, recently study on inclusive infrastructure emphasizing the importance of solutions that foster both economic growth and social justice, an article has been published in La Tribune by Thomas Bourleaud (Project Leader at Altermind) and Vauban Infrastructure Partners’ CEOs and Founding Partners, Gwenola Chambon and Mounir Corm. Here after the article translated in English : https://lnkd.in/ewYMHHRp Enjoy the reading and please do not hesitate to comment!
📣 94 trillion dollars is needed by 2040 to meet UN SDGs through quality infrastructure aligned with ecological and social goals. CEOs and Founding Partners of Vauban Infrastructure Partners, Gwenola Chambon and Mounir Corm, along with Thomas Bourleaud (Project Leader at Altermind), have published an article in La Tribune discussing how inclusive infrastructure could support a fair transition. While infrastructure drives growth, its impact on inequality is mixed. Public investment in education and highways can reduce inequality, but Esther Duflo warns it can also drain resources from some regions. To maximize social value, infrastructure must be inclusive. Millions lack clean water, sanitation, and face energy poverty. The low-carbon shift presents challenges. Low-emission zones help the climate but can exclude lower-income groups due to high technology costs. In addition, Investors must balance returns with positive social impact for a sustainable, equitable future. 📰 This article resonates perfectly with the latest research released by InfraVision Think Tank For Sustainable Infrastructure and sponsored by Vauban Infrastructure Partners, which focused on Inclusive Infrastructure. https://lnkd.in/ehzyBDzh
