International Astronautical Federation 'Connecting @ll Space People' The IAF was created in 1951 with the aim of advancing knowledge about space, and developing the application of space assets for the benefit of humanity. Today the IAF continues to foster dialogue between scientists, academics and the space industry around the world, and support international cooperation in all space-related activities. The Federation is the world’s leading space advocacy body with over 513 members, including space agencies and offices, industry, professional societies, associations, universities, museums and R&D organisations across 77 countries. More than 30 technical committees and 17 administrative committees support the Federation in its mission to advance knowledge about space, and to foster the development of space assets by facilitating global cooperation.

  • Master the art of public speaking at the IAF PS Lab during IAC 2024! The main objective of the IAF PS Lab is to help each participant develop and improve their communication skills when speaking in public, overcome the stress derived from stage fright, improve self-esteem, learn to use appropriate and timely resources in different situations, adequately use body and language in speeches, learn to confidently address any audience, understand cultural considerations of an international crowd, and thus effectively get your message. Throughout this workshop, participants will acquire the necessary skills to achieve effective and successful communication in the context of a high-level technology forum where space research and development initiatives are shared. Who is IAF PS Lab for: Speakers, students, scholarship awardees, and IAC participants and in general, who feel the need to overcome stage fright and improve their communication skills in public and private environments, to impact and persuade any audience and make the most of their time in the congress and maximizing their networking and presentations. After IAF PS Lab Participants will be able to: •           Present themselves with confidence •           Overcome stress derived from stage fright •           Use body and non-verbal language effectively •           Leave an impact and encourage future collaboration •           Navigate the cultural differences of an international crowd Join the IAF PS Lab workshop on 13 October from 16:00-18:00.
