Organised by the World Federation of Friends of Museums, this year’s event, under the theme “Your museums, our passion!”, will highlight the dedication of museum friends in eight European countries. 📅 Mark your calendars: the next European Friends of Museums Day is approaching! 🎨 After the success of the first edition in 2023, which brought together museum enthusiasts across Europe, we are delighted to announce the second European Museum Friends Day, scheduled for Sunday October 13, 2024. Launched to celebrate our community of one million enthusiasts across Europe, this day, organized every second Sunday in October, aims to pay tribute and give visibility to friends of museums through exclusive events. For this new edition, under the theme “Your museums, our passion!”, the federations and associations of 8 European countries (France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg, Portugal and Czech Republic) will support the event. This day will be an opportunity to promote the actions of friends of museums, who, throughout the year, strive to transmit their passion and increase the influence of museums. 🇪🇺 In France, the day is placed under the patronage of the President of the Republic, and is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture.
