We're #BIG on international! 🌍 This afternoon at the 10th edition of #BIG10 —a day dedicated to PROGRÈS—our Partner, Itziar Estevez Latasa, will participate in an invite-only round table titled: “Sociétés de gestion françaises et étrangères : l’internationalisation comme axe de progrès” Together with Stephan Dietrich and Jonathan Userovici, and moderated by Fabienne Lissak, they'll discuss how internationalisation can boost dealflow and drive portfolio growth. Wrapping up an eventful week on both sides of the Rhine! 🇫🇷🇩🇪 The IRIS team had a jam-packed 7 days in #Paris and #Munich. Here’s a quick look at the highlights: B2B Rocks 🎸 𝙞𝙣 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙨: Last Wednesday, François Kergaravat was a jury member for the World Pitch Contest - AI Edition, where Beink Dream took the win. Big congrats to them and all the other finalists for their excellent pitches! 🚀 Julien-David Nitlech teamed up with 🏀 Julien Petit for a fireside chat focused on billion-dollar #exits. With only 55 such exits in Europe (vs. 300+ in the US), they remain rare. Using the LeanIX case as an example, they discussed how early exit planning and strategic partnerships can position companies for successful outcomes, even in challenging markets. Bits & Pretzels 𝙞𝙣 𝙈𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙝: On Monday, we kicked off the week with a breakfast organized by Jan-Soeren Zinke and co-hosted with our friends at Peak—complete with non-alcoholic beers and pretzels! 🥨 Itziar Estevez Latasa took the stage to share insights on how startups can successfully navigate the Franco-German ecosystems, which together account for +50% of EU investments. She highlighted the distinct growth opportunities offered by France’s government-led initiatives and Germany’s corporate-driven approach. Later that evening, Itziar presented Quandela with the trophy for Breakthrough DeepTech Innovation during the "La French Tech in Germany Awards". 🏆 Thorben Rothe wrapped things up by leading engaging conversations as Table Captain at the #Oktoberfest Biertisch, mixing business with tradition in true Munich style. 🍻 Check out the pictures for a glimpse into all the action! 📸
