    Introducing Sanika Tile Senior Product Manager at KARL LAGERFELD. Hailing from the city of Nashik — also known as the wine capital in India — Sanika has been working over two and a half years as part of #TeamKarl. In her role, Sanika oversees our digital ecosystem and the KARL.COM website. From collaborating with business users to brainstorming with the developers, she enjoys being kept on her toes, and her days are filled with never-ending learning opportunities. She's even had the chance to spearhead one of KARL LAGERFELD's most significant projects — setting up the KARL.COM website from scratch. Sanika says it’s the people she loves most in her role: “The digital team is hands down the best team I’ve worked with in my career. We’ve come a long way from working in a restrictive B2B business model, operating two websites at a time, to launching and managing a brand-new sophisticated website and becoming experts in tackling difficult situations with ease."

    At KARL LAGERFELD, we are committed to being the best versions of ourselves, which includes actively supporting our communities. Each year, every employee is allocated dedicated time for community service and this month, our Marketing team chose to unite for a meaningful cause: plastic fishing in Amsterdam with the Plastic Whale company. This organization constructs boats from the plastic waste retrieved from the city's canals, and the team had a lot of fun out there with our fishing nets. Our much-anticipated Give Back Day gave us all a lot of laughs, as well as the opportunity to contribute positively to the environment and the city we love.

    Meet Zahra Kadry, Finance Intern at KARL LAGERFELD. Originally from Egypt, Zahra has been living in The Netherlands for 17 years and, after having taken some time out to focus on her family, she is now a mature student, wrapping up her second Bachelor's Degree in International Financial Management and Control. Bringing a wealth of experience to the department, Zahra began her KARL LAGERFELD journey in 2023 with an internship in the Finance function, where she was part of the accounts payable team. This year, she's back for another internship in the accounting team. As a finance intern, Zahra is working on a project to help optimize reporting processes, which will also serve as her graduation thesis. Zahra loved her time at KARL LAGERFELD, thanks to the supportive team and the collaborative environment, which offers great opportunities for her to learn and develop more skills on the job. “Karl is a very special place to work, embracing diversity and fostering inclusion,” she notes. “I am really proud to be part of #TEAMKARL.” We're proud to have Zahra on our team and excited to follow her continued success in the world of finance.

With Wellen being the German name for waves, the second KARL LAGERFELD MAISON collection launches during Milan Design Week, and is a nod to the prominent presence of curves and flowing lines identified in Karl’s sketches.    Rib stitches and other playful touches that infused the 1970s fashion and architecture, as well as Karl’s designs, have influenced each piece throughout the living, dining and bedroom sets. At the heart of the collection, the midnight blue velvet sofa is a versatile centerpiece that embodies Karl’s playful spirit. With its ten sectional elements, it offers endless configurations for any occasion.    The Labradorite dining table exudes elegance with its iridescent surface and steel-coated legs resembling conical columns.     Hailing from the Polish capital of Warsaw, Aleksandra Łojczuk has been bringing her passion and expertise to the KARL LAGERFELD family for the last two years and is now a Marketing Specialist Franchise. With the brand’s portfolio spanning over 30 global partners, Aleksandra's days are a dynamic mix of partner calls, strategy sessions, and creative projects. She stays on top of store updates, brand performance and key challenges and acts as a liaison between partners and the brand, ensuring brand consistency and an exceptional experience for KARL customers worldwide. Her favorite part of the job is the diversity of markets and partners she manages. Looking after businesses on almost every continent makes the role extremely interesting, as she needs to create tailored-made plans for each key cultural and trading moment. What makes KARL LAGERFELD a truly special place to work in Aleksandra’s opinion is: “The atmosphere here is like a start-up, even though it’s not – we all know each other, work closely and collaborate on cross-functional projects, and employees have real impact on activations, campaigns, or the global strategies they are part of.”

    Through THE REPAIR ATELIER initiative, KARL LAGERFELD is breathing new life into B-grade clothes damaged during transit or storage. Local artisans are using their skills to meticulously repair, refurbish, and refresh these bespoke items, which deserve another lease of life. This pilot project, repairing 57 items throughout Earth Month at our Outlet Batavia Stadt, marks our first exciting step towards a circular economy.
