[SCIENCE] At LVMH RECHERCHE, we are committed to continuously expanding our understanding of skin mechanisms. For decades, LVMH Recherche has been at the forefront of skincare innovation, driven by its continuous exploration of cellular models. From elementary models studying one or two cell types to sophisticated skin explants, each has provided invaluable insights into the complexities of skin and its functions. However, even the most advanced models have limitations in fully deciphering the intricate mechanisms and interactions within skin. * To overcome this, LVMH RECHERCHE recognized the need to isolate and insert specific cells within the skin tissue particularly in the context of cutaneous aging. This approach, coupled with the ability to apply and analyze the impact of controlled external stressors, promised a deeper understanding of skin biology. Through a collaboration with LabSkin Creations, a leading French company renowned for its expertise in bioprinted skin models, Dr. Carine Nizard, Dr. Anne-Laure Bulteau, and Dr. Laure CRABBE - VERT have been conducting groundbreaking research using exclusive skin models for the past eight years. This collaboration has yielded valuable insights for instance in understanding the role of specific skin cells, such as epidermal stem cells.
