👋Welcome to the new EIP! This week, Lactalis welcomed 28 new members of staff from 17 different countries. During three days, our new colleagues had the opportunity to meet Mr Emmanuel Besnier, President of the Lactalis Group, and to discuss with Mr Thierry Clément, Chief Operating Officer. But also to attend at various conferences. 🔎During their stay, our new colleagues visited the Cité du Lait, the Craon plant and the Laval warehouse. This was an opportunity to share the Group's DNA and history with our new executive members, as well as to offer them a warm and inclusive #welcome.

🔊 We are proud to announce our net-zero targets have been approved by the Science Based Targets initiative. This validation is a major milestone in our fight against climate change. What is SBTi? SBTi is a global body enabling businesses to set ambitious emissions reduction targets in line with the latest climate science. Lactalis commits: to end deforestation across its value chain by the end of 2025 to ensure 73.8% of its suppliers and customers by emissions have science-based targets by 2028* to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 46.2% by 2030 from a 2019 base year to reduce scope 3 FLAG (Forest, Land and Agriculture) GHG emissions by 30.3% by 2030 from a 2021 base year to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by 2050 *Covering purchased goods and services, capital goods, fuel- and energy-related activities Our commitments are now in line with the Paris Agreement and the crucial 1.5-degree trajectory. 💡Did you know? More than 130,000 hours of digital training were given to employees in 2023. The Lactalis Learning Factory is an internal digital learning platform deployed in 2022 with the aim of enabling employees to upskill upon their needs a variety of areas : technology, soft skills, foreign languages, MS Office. In 2023, over 130,000 hours of training were given to 24 000 employees worldwide - 2.7 times more than in the year the platform was deployed. 90% of learners say that they’ll use what they have learned. A great success which demonstrates the importance Lactalis places on the offering to employees the opportunity to develop their skills! Since 2019, Lactalis has been committed to cleaning its sites worldwide on #WorldCleanUpDay. In addition to this voluntary initiative, the event is an opportunity to raise employee awareness on the importance of sorting and recycling waste. Last year, employees from 29 different countries came together to collect over 33 tons of waste. For this 6th edition, let's do even better for the preservation of our planet! #WCUD2024

📸 A look back at the inauguration of Campus Lactalis! On 10 September, we had the honor of inaugurating the new Lactalis Campus, a training center dedicated to passing on our dairy, cheese, and other various expertises able to support the business. Our campus, located in the heart of Lactalis' historic birthplace, is a modern, friendly space where our apprentices and employees can develop their skills and expertise in a unique setting. 🔹 20 training rooms and a convivial area 🔹127 International training courses in the Group offer 🔹 Including 7 international training paths over several weeks 🔹 In 2024, 270 employees following our international courses, already welcomed to the Lactalis campus “Our ambition is clear: we intend to open the new facilities to more international teams, extending our expertise globally.” jean-yves remond, Group HR Director. 🎥 A look back at a week's visit to Lactalis China by our President, Mr. Emmanuel Besnier, with the members of the Executive Committee, including Thierry Clement, Christophe Jouin, Philippe Laborne and Agnes Baudet - Barbezant! The week program started with a market visit, followed by a tour of Lactalis' first factory in Jiangsu, China, where our cheeses are made with our industrial expertise. The Executive Committee also visited the Shanghai sales office to meet the team and key customers. Finally, North Asia’s team of Alexandre Pasquet presented a full business review to conclude a week rich in content.
