Update on the First IEEE VIS Workshop on Progressive Data Analysis and Visualization (PDAV)
When: October 14, 8:30-11:30 am EDT at IEEE VIS 2024, all virtual
After two hurricanes hitting the expected conference sites (Helen and Milton), the whole IEEE VIS conference is fully virtual, and so is the PDAV workshop!
The program of the workshop is online: https://lnkd.in/eMpEZ5PM
With three inspiring keynotes on very diverse and advanced domains and paper presentations:
- The Time for Progressive Visualization is Increasingly Now, Danyel Fisher, USA
- A Progressive Perspective on Topological Data Analysis, Julien Tierny, Université Paris-Sorbonne, FR
- Explaining incremental models, Barbara Hammer, Chair of the Machine Learning research group at the Research Institute for Cognitive Interaction Technology (CITEC), Bielefeld University, DE
The workshop is virtual, allowing all the communities concerned by scalability in data exploration to attend, including data management, simulation, statistics, machine learning, and visualization. IEEE VIS 2024's virtual registration only costs $20, so don't hesitate to register at https://lnkd.in/eqZ4SNgg
