What a week - and there’s even more to come! Last week, we had the privilege of being part of the #Afrilabs Gathering at the CTICC in Cape Town, where key players in Africa’s tech innovation ecosystem- policy makers, researchers, innovators, investors, and entrepreneurial support organisations - came together. As part of the Cape Town ecosystem tour, we welcomed over 70 participants to our office. Our charismatic CEO, Zandile Ntuli, shared the history of ENRICH in Africa Center and its work in supporting AU-EU partnerships for tech and knowledge transfer to advance Africa’s tech frontier. Tendai Pasipamire, our charming BD lead, introduced our latest SEADE digital tools aimed at empowering researchers, while Melanie Mwangi, our engaging Center Support Officer, demonstrated how ESOs can use the ENRICH in Africa digital platform to enhance their sales pipeline and impact. Thomas Bongani Hart, French South African Tech Labs (one of our dedicated champions), Program Manager provided an insightful overview of SEADE, its goals, and our commitment to fostering deeper research collaboration between Africa and Europe. Christophe Viarnaud, CEO of Methys Group, added local flavour with the history of Cape Town’s tech journey. We had a delight hosting participants and entrepreneurs from AfriLabs and RLabs *Reconstructed Living Lab at our offices in Century City, Cape Town, last week as part of their ecosystem tour. 🤩👏 🔷 Our building is alive with not only skilled individuals but also organizations dedicated to fostering innovation and supporting startups. We presented a brief overview of the initiatives from ENRICH in Africa - EiA, AfricArise, AfricArena , Methys Group, and French South African Tech Labs, emphasizing their work to connect African startups with global opportunities. 🔷 Our CEO, Christophe Viarnaud, delivered an engaging talk about the origins of these entities and how Africa is flourishing with creativity and opportunities that require us to recognize the potential for increased funding. ENRICH in Africa - EiA concluded the event with a demonstration of their digital toolkit platform, supported by the SEADE project.
