Breaking new ground at Marcelis Garden! We officially launched the remediation works for the Ragheno project in Mechelen, alongside Mayor Bart Somers, Patrick Princen, Koen Anciaux, Greet Geypen and Werner ANNAERT. This marks a key step in the development of Mechelen’s new city district, starting with the construction of the city’s first yacht marina. Followed by the development of an 11-hectare public park, offering a scenic cycling and walking route connecting the marina to the station. From November, a portion of the 5.6 hectares of contaminated land will be remediated, laying the groundwork for a dynamic, future-forward neighbourhood where living, working, and recreation come together seamlessly. MG Real Estate has been selected to develop a 26,000 sqm logistics hub in Luxembourg’s MG Park Bettembourg for Vodafone streamlining the distribution of mobile and fixed network equipment across Europe. The facility will enable 88% of in-market warehouses to be reached within 24 hours, utilising advanced digital technology for real-time supply chain monitoring. Targeting top-tier BREEAM certification, the project will employ sustainable materials and processes. Construction is scheduled to start in early 2025.
