Yesterday, we officially opened the LIFE ZEUS industrial #wastewater #recycling #demonstrator. After the opening speech by our master of ceremonies, Marc-Yvan Laroye from Office International de l'Eau, olivier monin went back over the project’s beginning, underlining his responsibility as both a #citizen and an industrial player to act in preserving an essential resource for #human activities: water. Ludovic Lanouguère presented the official #results of the latest tests. This is where we preserved our first yuzu plants. Today, it houses around 400 plants, with 3 to 4 identical plants for each species, which can be replanted in case of a plant’s death in the plantation. The long-term goal is reduce #irrigation as much as possible while maintaining attractive #cropyields. At our Yuzu plantation in Chancuda, the access to water is highly regulated, forcing us to limit the use of this precious #resource. 💧Thus, we use a drip irrigation system to limit water evaporation. Thanks to a system of probes in the #field, we observe the times of day when the trees need water most.  🌱 From today, we are getting our trees used to the lack of #water to help them adapt as well as possible to an ever more dry #climate in the #future. #agriculture #sustainableagriculture #agroecology #CSR #plantation #watersaving #sustainableagriculturalpractices

💧 ZEUS - LIFE ENV/FR/000186: 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸! Set up of the organic nanofiltration and reverse osmosis membranes and initial microfiltration trials. 🔩 Organic membranes perform the final treatment of effluent to remove all dissolved molecules.  🔩 Nanofiltration membranes provide effective treatment of sugar effluents, with the finishing treatment by reverse osmosis. On the microfiltration side, the first tests consisted in debugging the PLC programs. This day, established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2014, aims to highlight the importance of equipping #youth with the #skills they need to #succeed in the job #market and contribute to sustainable development. This year's theme is "Youth Skills for Peace and Development", highlighting the crucial role that young people play in peacebuilding and conflict resolution. Monin local team organized a two-days #Masterclasses for teachers and students of La Rizière Hotel School in Fianarantsoa, Madagascar IECD Madagascar - Institut Européen de Coopération et de Développement. 🎯Our #objective was to review the basics of #bar and present new #consumer #trends.
