✨ The aurora borealis, or “northern lights”, lit up the sky over Neoen’s Fox Coulee Solar Farm in Starland County, Alberta, Canada last Thursday. Fox Coulee borders the Town of Drumheller, also known as the “Dinosaur Capital of the World” for its many fossil discoveries. 🦖 Neoen honoured Starland’s rich paleo history with the installation of Albertosaurus, designed and fabricated by local cast and molding artist FrankHadfield (https://lnkd.in/dZjBkpy4). 📸 Thanks to GOLDBECK SOLAR Group for capturing these stunning pictures!

Ce parc de 6 éoliennes produit chaque année l’équivalent de la consommation électrique de 12 000 habitants, chauffage inclus. ⚡ Pour garantir une intégration exemplaire dans l'environnement, nous avons mis en œuvre de nombreuses mesures : 🌱 Replantation de boisements et restauration des zones humides. 🐦 Bridage des éoliennes pour s'adapter aux activités agricoles et préserver la biodiversité, notamment chauves-souris et oiseaux protégés. Merci aux élus locaux et aux équipes municipales pour leur soutien et leur présence. Yesterday, we celebrated the inauguration of the Largeasse wind farm (17 MW) in Deux-Sèvres. This farm, with its 6 wind turbines, produces the equivalent of the annual electricity consumption of 12,000 people, including heating. ⚡ To ensure seamless integration into the environment, we have implemented numerous measures: 🌱 Replanting of woodlands and restoration of wetlands.  🐦Curtailment of wind turbines to adapt to agricultural activities and protect biodiversity, including bats and protected bird species. Thank you to the local officials and municipal teams for their support and presence. 🌿 The rehabilitation of the valuable Vorlokki peatland and water areas in Hyrynsalmi, Finland, carried out in collaboration with Metsähallitus and Nature Parks Finland, is progressing well. With the restoration work now complete, the natural environment and endangered species can gradually begin to recover to their original state.
