2024 was a solid year for our Waters business, full of innovation and progress. As Nestlé Group releases its annual results, Muriel Lienau, CEO of newly-created Nestlé Waters & Premium Beverages, reflects on our performance highlights.
Following the Nestlé Group's 2024 full year results announcement earlier today, I want to highlight the robust performance by our Waters and Beverages business and the accretive growth delivered for the Group. Our growth and innovation showcase our ability to unlock new opportunities and successfully navigate a dynamic and fast-moving market. We enhanced our market competitiveness through a focus on our portfolio mix, superior taste, quality and innovation to continuously regain market share and launch into new territories. Our International Brands played a pivotal role in our success, with impressive growth and exceptional results from our new Beverages platforms, Sanpellegrino Zero and Maison Perrier. Maison Perrier stood out as the most sizeable innovation for the Nestle Group in 2024, with a high-impact launch in 80+ markets supported by significant media investment and a new masterbrand campaign featuring the brand’s first celebrity ambassador, Lily Collins. With 23 delicious recipes and 181 SKUs, the launch also won innovation awards in key markets such as France and Canada. Sanpellegrino Zero also had an outstanding response from customers and consumers in our launch markets of US and Canada, winning awards and positive ratings. Global roll-out is planned this year. Bold campaigns delivered at scale, and innovative, immersive experiences enabled us to connect with consumers in new and memorable ways. We also invested in our local ‘jewel’ brands, boosting market share and brand equity. Sustainability continues to be at the heart of everything we do. We remain committed to collaborating with suppliers, communities and partners to drive positive impact on our focus areas: water regeneration, packaging circularity and decarbonisation across our entire value chain. Our progress this year is evidence of our commitment. These results are a very promising foundation for our recently established Nestlé Waters & Premium Beverages division. Moving forward, we will strengthen our customer-centric innovation pipeline, scale up our existing brands and explore new product platforms to drive market share gain and profitable growth. We are primed for acceleration and committed to value-creation for consumers and customers, through our talent and portfolio strength. I am excited for the journey ahead, to fuel our ambitions with the ability to be even bolder and more agile.
