Unser Emissionsgeschäft wird digital! 💻 Das elektronische Wertpapiergesetz ermöglicht die Digitalisierung von Wertpapiergeschäften. Das nutzen wir! 👏 Als erstes wurde ein Zentralregisterwertpapier über Clearstream auf der D7-Plattform der Gruppe Deutsche Börse emittiert. Der Prozess wurde vom Debt Capital Markets Team der Commerzbank AG unter Federführung von Klaus-Peter Eitel und Nicole Nehren begleitet. Diese Woche erfolgte mit Unterstützung von NatWest Markets Plc eine zweite digitale Emission – die eines Commercial Papers – auf Blockchain-Basis. 🎉 Möglich machen das die EZB-Trials. Das ist eine von der Deutsche Bundesbank European Central Bank initiierte Erprobung neuer Technologien zur Abwicklung von Finanzmarkttransaktionen. Neben der L-Bank nehmen viele andere namhafte Finanzinstitute teil. Wie funktioniert das? Die Trigger Solution der Deutsche Bundesbank verbindet das emittierte digitale Commercial Paper mit der Zahlseite. Die (Wertpapier-)Lieferung gegen Zahlung kann also in einer Transaktion stattfinden. 🔄 Als Teil der digitalen Transformation sollen digitale Wertpapiere künftig der neue Standard der L-Bank sein. Die Nutzung der neuen Technologie ermöglicht mehr Effizienz und Transparenz im Emissionsprozess.
