🏭 𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹: 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝘀u𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆! We're delighted to announce that our new factory in Pasuruan, Indonesia is now fully operational! Representing an investment of €6m, this plant marks a major milestone for Onduline. Started in July 2023, construction was completed on schedule, thanks to close collaboration between our teams in Malaysia, Indonesia and our Ofitech technical centre. Production began end of August 2024, with the first Onduline bitumen sheets manufactured on site. Commercialization is expected to start before end of October 2024, once we get our operating license from Indonesian government. The plant is equipped with a state of the art painting line, allowing us to develop variety of colors expected by our Indonesian customers. Thanks to this plant, Onduline will now be able to meet the local content requirements set by the authorities for government-funded projects (schools, covered markets, administrative buildings, etc.). This opportunity opens up new development opportunities for our light roofing systems in Asia. 🌏 The official inauguration will take place on 11 November at 11am, a moment we are looking forward to celebrating with our teams. 🏗️𝗔𝗙𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗧 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 & 𝗢𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲: 𝗔 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻  🏗️ The 400 m² roof renovation project at 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗔 𝗦𝗨𝗗 was a first for 𝗔𝗙𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗧 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡. The company had never worked on asbestos fibre cement roofs before. Thanks to the innovative 𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗥 𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗢𝗩 𝗙𝗖 system, and after completing the specialised  𝗦𝗦𝟰 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, the team successfully tackled this challenge while allowing the workshop to continue its activities uninterrupted. 🚧 This project highlights the power of teamwork and collaboration between AFFORTIT CONSTRUCTION and Onduline. With the support of Onduline’s dedicated team, including the Sales Representative, the Promoter, and the Technical Manager, AFFORTIT CONSTRUCTION was able to take on this challenge with confidence. Jean-Marc LATTIER, the sales representative in charge of this project, shares: “I met Mr Affortit at a trade fair earlier this year. He was very interested in this solution, fast to install, for working on asbestos fibre cement roofs, something he had never tackled before. After introducing him to the ONDUCLAIR RENOV FC system and putting him in touch with our promoter, he decided to take the plunge. He even completed the SS4 asbestos prevention training with his team.” 😊 The 𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗥 𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗢𝗩 𝗙𝗖 system protects and insulates asbestos roofs without dismantling or piercing them, ensuring fast installation, increased safety, and reduced costs compared to traditional asbestos removal. This system can also be used for non-asbestos roofs. These were exactly the reasons why 𝗔𝗙𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗧 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 chose this innovative solution, allowing for a fast renovation without disrupting 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗔 𝗦𝗨𝗗’s operations. Actions for a More Sustainable Future! 🚗⚡ In 2024, electric vehicles (EVs) represent 60% of Onduline car renewals. This achievement marks a significant milestone in our journey towards a greener future. In parallel, we keep replacing forklifts by electric forklifts into our plants, and now we are going even further by aiming for an electric car fleet. The plant, which will manufacture Onduline bitumen sheets, represents an investment of €6 million. Construction is proceeding apace. During the visit, a number of key issues were addressed to ensure that operations run smoothly from the outset: - Inspection of facilities to ensure compliance with standards. - Review of standard operating procedures, with particular emphasis on safety. - Signing of the PT OMI Charter to formalise the project's objectives and commitments to become World Class Manufacturing Facility. - Meetings with the production team to discuss the initial stages of commissioning. - Strategy meeting on growth prospects for Onduline Indonesia. The official inauguration of the plant is scheduled for 11 November, with events planned for customers.
