🚨 BREAKING NEWS - COMPANY NAME CHANGE AND USA EXPANSION🚨 Since joining the Polysoude S.A.S team earlier this year, all internal discussions have been focused on taking the global success of the Polysoude brand and using that momentum to build brand recognition within the United States. Seven months later, we are extremely excited to announce a rebranding of our United States business as well as an expansion to the East Coast. Polysoude's corporate team promised to back our ambitious domestic goals and are now delivering the resources and capital to turn these plans into reality! REBRANDING EFFORTS To establish a direct and recognizable link to the brand of equipment we represent, Astro Arc Polysoude is being rebranded as Polysoude USA effective immediately. This name change also keeps our branding consistent with other sister subsidiaries...POLYSOUDE ITALIA SRL, Polysoude UK Welding Specialists, Polysoude Deutschland GmbH, etc. EXPANSION PLANS In addition to existing locations in Houston and Los Angeles, in 2025 we will be opening up an automation-focused facility in New England. This location was strategically selected to better support our growing customer base in the region and open up doors for new sales opportunities along the east coast. Trickier than steel welding, with aluminium there is a fine line between no penetration and blowing holes 🤯 This is due to the wonderful combination of a low melting point and high heat conductivity. What you can see: 📊 Specs: The video captures the autogenous welding on a 5000 series aluminium alloy, 48mm in diameter and 0.89 mm thick, specifically for a high-flying aerospace project! ✈️🚀 🛠 Welding head: MW115 is controlled by an AC/DC Smart Welding Station with appropriate WPS and setup all made by Polysoude SAS Did you know: It's almost impossible to buy plain aluminium! 😳🧐 It tends to be supplied as an alloy: a good thing as mixing the aluminium with other things makes it a more useful material. The alloys have a 4 digit identification number. 5000 series alloys contain a bit of Magnesium. For our customer working for the US Navy , we developed a fully integrated turn-key TIGer weld overlay installation for ¾” Inconel alloy using a 9x9 column & boom with a 3t positioner. An installation allowing weld overlay speed of 1200 to 1500mm/min or even more than 2000mm/min on a “nice” finishing. Our TIGer process is minimum two times faster than conventional TIG Hot Wire / GTAW and often as fast as GMAW / MIG by keeping the quality of TIG / GTAW welding! The dilution rate is particularly low, far below the 5% expected!
