The campaign marks the launch of a new olfactory chapter for Hermès with Barénia, a tribute to one of its iconic leathers. This is the opportunity to define a new feminine Hermès with free elegance. Directed by James Gray, the film shows a woman, who, by unbridling a horse, is overcome by a surge of freedom translated into an unstoppable trajectory. The bottle itself is inspired by an iconic Hermès item: the Médor bracelet. First a bracelet, then abelt, the object has now become a fragrance. "La peau est un parfum" ("Skin is a scent") signs the campaign, reflecting a bold chypre that reveals itself upon contact with the skin. We are honored to have received a Bronze Lion in the first Luxury and Lifestyle category for our Hermès jewelry campaign "Cavalier Jewelry" at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2024. Hermès asserts its originality in contrast to the dominant figures of the category by adopting a cavalier attitude far from the traditional stances. The beauty of the objects and the excellence of the craftsmanship are made even more obvious. From harness to jewellery, there is but a stride. Thanks to Craig McDean and Richard Burbridge, two masters of portraiture photography, we brought an edgy perspective to the campaign, alongside the expertise and keen eye of Marie-Amélie Sauvé in styling.
