Article complet ici  👇

We're thrilled to have participated in the 10th TQCI seminar at TERATEC yesterday, focused on the industrialization and deployment of quantum computing technologies. The event brought together key players in the quantum ecosystem, offering valuable insights into scaling challenges and practical solutions. At Quandela, we shared our journey of rapid progress, highlighting our third-generation quantum computers and our full-stack approach. Our focus on robustness, modularity, and homogenization of technologies reflects our commitment to building solid foundations for the future of quantum computing. We also presented our roadmap toward Fault-Tolerant Quantum Computing based on SPOQC, detailing the development of new key elements (spin-control, feedforward, PNR) that will complement our existing modules, which are undergoing continuous optimization. We were inspired by the complementary presentations from industry leaders. For instance, IBM's insights into quantum hardware development and renewed commitment to developing the ecosystem, EDF's perspective on industrial use cases laying out similarities with the AI boom in 2018, and Eviden's collaborative approach for integration in HPC. These presentations, among many others, all contributed to a comprehensive view of the quantum landscape today. 💡Key takeaways from the seminar: 1 - The quantum ecosystem is crucial for advancing the field, with openness in frameworks and sharing of results and success stories being fundamental to collective progress. 2 - Making quantum machines accessible, even at small scales, is vital for HPC preparation, algorithm development, and industrial use-case exploration. 3 - A pragmatic and humble approach, recognizing all players' contributions within the broader quantum community, is essential for achieving the kind of breakthroughs we've witnessed in AI. We're excited to continue our work in photonic quantum computing, pushing boundaries while remaining grounded in practical, step-by-step development. The future of quantum is collaborative, and we're proud to be part of this innovative community. We extend our sincere thanks to the organizers for maintaining such an active and engaged quantum community. We look forward to meeting again at the next TQCI event on November 13-14, 2024, "TQCI Seminar - Interested in future possibilities in Quantum Computing and Quantum Sensing?" #QuantumComputing #Photonics #TechInnovation #Teratec2024

Quantum chemistry applications on larger molecular systems using DMET VQE in collaboration with inCerebro. Our applications team is kicking off a new project to bring quantum computing to practical chemistry problems. This project is in collaboration with In Cerebro, a pharmaceutical research company that offers drug development. We’re using a method called DMET-VQE (Density Matrix Embedding Theory with Variational Quantum Eigensolver) on our photonic quantum devices. In simple terms, this approach allows us to: 1. Break down complex molecular systems into smaller, manageable pieces. 2. Use quantum computers to analyze these pieces and obtain their ground-state energy with high accuracy. 3. Combine the results to get a clearer picture of the whole system. Why is this important? It could help us: • Design more effective drugs. • Develop better materials. • Understand chemical reactions in greater detail. We’re starting with hydrogen rings and a protein active site, but the technique can be applied to many such systems. Stay tuned as we work to make quantum chemistry accessible and practical for real-world use! #QuantumComputing #Chemistry #DrugDiscovery #Quandela
