🎉 Exciting R&D Research Paper from Raidium 🎉 📖 We’re proud to share our latest research: ONCOPILOT, a breakthrough radiology AI model designed to address the complexities of solid tumor evaluation. 💡Our research shows that ONCOPILOT, trained on 7,500 full-body CT scans, delivers state-of-the-art performance in tumor segmentation and radiologist-level precision in RECIST 1.1 evaluation, and improves workflows by reducing variability and enhancing interactivity with radiologists. At #JFR24, I had the chance to meet the next generation of French radiology AI startups, led by radiologists pushing AI applications to new heights !👇 I spoke with Paul Herent, M.D., Msc, CEO of Raidium, and Arnaud Attyé, CEO of #GeodAlsics. Their vision and achievements are impressive, standing out from most AI startups by going beyond traditional lesion detection and classification. GeodAlsics detects biomarkers for Alzheimer’s on brain MRI, potentially accelerating diagnosis, reducing the need for lumbar punctures, and supporting clinical trials and new drug prescriptions. This is a major step forward—AI detecting biologically relevant insights from routine exams. Raidium is building the next generation of image viewers, built on dedicated foundational models, with an AI-native environment and a conversational AI to enhance workflow. Starting with tumor segmentation and RECIST, they aim to expand their use cases and create an intelligent interface that boosts productivity and report quality. While many successful radiology AI startups are led by business professionals, Paul and Arnaud, as radiologists, bring a unique perspective. It’s rare for physicians to lead startups, as they often lack the business training required to build and scale companies. However, those who commit to learning these skills have the potential to create truly impactful organizations. I’m excited to see radiologists stepping into founder and CEO roles in medtech.
