Users can now #PreSave whole albums, with some already adding forthcoming albums to spotify and #AppleMusic. The tool will automatically appear in one's library upon release, with some well-established #artists expected to benefit from the tool. However, the promotional effectiveness of album pre-saves remains to be seen, and the platform is still operating in the worlds biggest #MusicMarket and #economy. The January 19th sale-or-shutdown deadline under the Protecting Americans from #ForeignAdversaryControlledApplicationsAct remains in place. #TikTok is also grappling with #litigation and regulatory scrutiny, with over a dozen #US states filing #lawsuits against the app over its alleged "perilous effects on children." Google has launched a new interface for its MusicFX Digital DJ #AI tool, partnering with #Grammy Award-winning #singer, #songwriter, and #producer #JacobCollier. MusicFX DJ is a generative #music creation tool that can mix prompts for instruments, #genres, and emotions to steer the flow of a continuous #LiveMusicStream. Collier's work with the #research team focused on the user flow state of asking, "What am I dreaming up today?" The tool can accept multiple prompts and fine-tune the emphasis each #prompt has on the final continuous stream. He argued that it is not acceptable to reimagine a song from a movie and use it in another movie six years later without the composer's permission.
