What if every woman could travel confidently in our cities? 🚶♀️🌟 Last Thursday, at the Women's Forum for the Economy & Society in Paris, our CEO, Hiba Fares, shared powerful insights on how RATP Dev is working to make public transport networks safer and more inclusive for women around the world. 🔍 Women make up the majority of public transport users and Hiba emphasized our commitment to making them feel safe on our networks. Unfortunately, many women do not feel as secure as men do, highlighting a significant gap in perceptions of safety. To address this issue, RATP Dev is taking concrete action to improve the feeling of security. Here are some of the initiatives that we have taken: 🔹 In Paris, we have created dedicated zones in major metro stations like Auber to help passengers feel safer, while expanding this initiative along tram lines in partnership with the street safety app UMAY. 🔹 In Cairo, we’ve introduced women-only train cars positioned centrally on platforms for easy boarding, as well as women-only ticket counters to enhance security. 🔹 Our #StandUp campaign with L'Oréal and Fondation des Femmes equips passengers and staff with practical tools through the 5D strategy (Direct, Distract, Delegate, Document, Delay) to intervene in cases of harassment. 🔹 Wherever we operate, we actively engage with local associations to identify and fix areas in stations that feel unsafe, such as dimly lit corridors or blind spots, ensuring simple, effective improvements that enhance security. 🔹 In cities across France, we are expanding stop-on-demand services for buses at night, allowing passengers to get off closer to their destination and reducing the risks of walking long distances in the dark. Over 90% of passengers find this service valuable. Public transport is more than just a mobility solution; it’s a key driver of social inclusion and gender equity. By actively addressing perceived insecurities, we can make a big difference by empowering women and enhancing their freedom in the city. #WFGM24 #WomensForum #Leadership #GlobalChange #Paris2024 #FemaleEmpowerment

How does RATP Dev manage its ESG data and carbon impact? 🌐 This was the question Grégory MALET, CSR Director at RATP Dev, answered recently at a workshop at PRODURABLE, the largest European event for sustainable economy solutions. 📊 He set out our CSR ambitions and underlined the stakes of managing ESG data. At RATP Dev, we have implemented advanced data collection and analysis processes to monitor the progress of our CSR strategy and to comply with relevant reporting frameworks, such as the CSRD. As Grégory explained, measuring sustainability-related criteria is increasingly recognized as important by public authorities, and this is reflected in bids. In this way tools such as Traace data management platform not only help us measure our positive impact, but also provide a means of differentiating our offer and open pathways for innovation. To learn more about our collective commitment to real, positive and sustainable impact in all our activities worldwide, find the link to our Manifesto for Sustainable Cities in the comments below. 👇 #PRODURABLE #Sustainability #ESG #CSR #CSRD #PublicTransport
