Norway’s powerful winds, deep waters, and progressive energy policies, including ambitious targets to develop 30GW of offshore wind by 2040, make it a key location for offshore development. Yesterday, our team joined industry leaders and policymakers at the Offshore Wind Conference in Oslo to help shape the future of offshore wind in Norway. One way RES is helping to drive this future is by working with Zephyr AS through our SIRAVIND consortium. Together, we are bidding for a spot in the Utsira Nord offshore wind tender, aiming to deliver 500MW of offshore wind using floating wind technology. Our vision is to create a future where everyone has access to affordable, zero carbon energy. #OffshoreWind #RenewableEnergy #WindEnergy #Norway Terje Aasland Eli Wærum Rognerud

👷Hard hats and hi-vis at Derril Water Solar Park Developed by RES, and sold to Ripple Energy in 2023, the construction of Derril Water Solar Park began earlier in the year and is now progressing at pace. We are pleased to have continued our relationship with the project through an agreement with Ripple to manage the construction and operation of the project, which is due to be commissioned in Spring next year. Located in Pyworthy, Devon, Derril is the UK's first shared ownership solar park, allowing local people and members of the public to own a share the project and save on their electricity bills. When launched, the cooperative scheme exclusively ring-fenced a portion of the project for the local community which enabled local households and even a local school to own shares and be part of the generation and supply of homegrown low-cost clean green energy. Stay tuned for further updates as construction progresses! #PowerForGood #SharedOwnership #SolarEnergy #TogetherWeCan

Green hydrogen reigniting rural areas🌱 For Ånge municipality in northern Sweden, RES is doing just that through our green hydrogen venture that will have a production capacity of over hundred thousand tons of green hydrogen annually. Swedish trade publication Tidningen Energi, recently visited Ånge alongside Alexandra Angelbratt, Head of Hydrogen in the Nordics for RES, to see how our investment in the area will bring significant benefits to the local economy and community. The future plan for the municipality includes an electro-fuel production plant as well as an industrial park for symbiosis ventures such as as fish farming fueled by the waste heat from the hydrogen production. Alexandra commented: "Building up a close collaboration with the municipality and having a good anchoring in the local community has been a significant success factor in Ånge." 📢 Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/dD4iYVMc #GreenHydrogen #Sweden #PowerForGood

Rising up to the challenge – how can digital innovation shape the future of the wind industry? Wind energy is key to achieving a #ZeroCarbon future. Alongside scaling up deployment, we must think smarter, using digital innovation to optimise the global wind fleet. In our latest blog, we explore how data trends from RES’ analysis reveal that two-thirds of turbines often have opportunities for performance enhancements - with pitch (58%) and yaw (38%) mechanisms as the primary focus areas. At the BloombergNEF Summit in London this week, our CEO for EMEA & APAC, Marco Perona, took part in a vital discussion on one of the key challenges facing the energy transition: how to balance the growing demand for renewable energy with the need to protect nature and maintain land for food production.   The panel brought together diverse perspectives from energy, agriculture, and natural capital, emphasising the importance of collaboration across sectors. The path forward involves navigating permitting challenges and working closely with communities to ensure sustainable, nature-positive solutions.   We remain committed to delivering renewable energy projects that not only support the transition but also respect the natural environment and contribute to local economies. By working together, we can unlock the potential of renewable energy and also safeguard biodiversity.
