World Diabetes Day – lifting the mystery. 🙏 According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 1 in 10 Europeans could have diabetes by 2045. There are different diagnoses: Type 2 diabetes applies to around 90 % of people living with diabetes. If diabetes is not diagnosed and treated correctly, it can lead to life-threatening events. Controlling blood glucose levels is essential, and regular home monitoring can significantly reduce complications while being cost-effective for those using insulin. However, access to medications and essential resources still needs to be improved. Integrating diabetes management into universal health coverage is key for effectively tackling this condition and minimizing its impact on lives. Our internal Global Health Management (GHM) program handles proactive health issues for our global employees. We used the context of World Health Day to educate all employees worldwide about the risks of diabetes.
