Tackling the housing crisis is an absolute priority for us. We are proud to have secured the first ever European Commission for Housing. And surely, Dan Jørgensen is the best person for the job! Together, we will work to bring down housing prices and stop the speculators. Because decent, affordable housing is a right, not a product.

Our Group has decided to support Hadja Lahbib, the Commissioner-designate for Preparedness, Crisis Management and Equality, says S&D VP Heléne Fritzon. We would have preferred a dedicated Commissioner for Equality, but we are confident Mrs Lahbib can deliver on our priorities.
