𝗣𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 - 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗹? Our founder Lee McLaughlan MCIPR spoke with the co-founder of Padel Tripper Ian Ryder and how and he Oliver Podd are looking to attract players and coaches over to Spain this winter for their padel kicks. Based in Alicante, officially Spain's sunniest city, Padel Tripper is appealing to the UK market - initially - with a range of travel and padel services. Given the boom in the sport - and the UK weather - Padel Tripper has already seen significant interest and is only expecting demand to grow - particularly in 2025. #padel #padeltravel #spain #alicante #startup #sportsindustry #pr

𝘼𝙣𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙥𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙡 𝙞𝙣 𝘼𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧? The Spanish city, which hugs the Mediterranean sea and boasts 349 days of sunshine a year, is a real ‘go to’ destination for padel enthusiasts. Still in its formative stages, padel tourism is expected to be a major growth area – especially from the UK as players look to escape the winter doldrums. This is where Ian Ryder and business partner Oliver Podd, who is also a qualified padel coach, come in. They can see the potential and earlier this year launched Padel Tripper to provide sun-kissed padel holidays in Alicante. I spoke with Ian yesterday about the business and how they have set it up and started to market the concept. Padel Tripper has partnered with Club Atletico Montemar, which has 10 padel courts on its 60,000sqm site, and Hotel Alicante Golf. Two great facilities for a top notch padel sojourn. Padel Tripper offers players the chance to compete in their regular winter tournaments or organise a bespoke trip. It is also working closely with coaches, who want to bring out players and combine coaching with a relaxed enjoyable atmosphere. Golf pros have excelled in this area for many years, bringing club members to venues across Europe and combining competition and coaching. Ian believes this could be a very successful model for padel coaches in the UK too. In the summer, Ian was back in the UK and he chalked up 4,000 miles this summer visiting facilities in the UK and talking to players, coaches and operators, about Padel Tripper. He will be back for ‘tour no 2’ in the near future but he is more than happy to hear from anyone looking to book a padel trip this winter. #padel #padelholidays #padelcoaching #alicante #spain Alex Ponseti George Modler Joanne Patterson Miguel Caramalho Max Lutostanski Laura Jackson Toby Bawden Ethan Bardo
