The future of French animation just got a little greener! 🌱 We are thrilled to hear that the Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée (CNC) has officially recognized Carbulator as the go-to carbon footprint calculator for animation! A major milestone for our industry, this sets a new standard for environmental accountability. Starting March 1, 2025, the CNC will require all productions seeking aid to complete a carbon footprint calculation using The Carbulator. What does this mean for animation? ✅ Standardization – A unified way to measure environmental impact across all projects and studios. ✅ Accountability – Sustainability isn’t just a nice-to-have anymore; it’s a must! ✅ Industry Shift – Redefining how productions approach carbon management and environmental responsibility. At TeamTO, we’re proud to have been part of this journey from the start, collaborating with AnimFrance, SUPERPROD, Illumination Studios Paris, SUPAMONKS, and MIAM! animation to bring this tool to life. It’s an honor to help position France as a leader in both animation technology and sustainability, alongside partners who share this vision and commitment 🙌. En voilà, une bonne nouvelle ! ✅ C’est officiel, le Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée (CNC) vient d’annoncer l’homologation du #Carbulator. 🥳 L'aventure collective, lancée en 2021 par AnimFrance, continue pour l’outil de calcul de l’empreinte carbone des studios et des œuvres audiovisuelles et cinématographiques d’animation. Un outil développé par et pour le secteur de l’animation, au travers d’un comité scientifique ad hoc et la mobilisation d’une dizaine de studios. 🇫🇷 À compter du 1er mars prochain, les producteurs délégués des œuvres d’animation devront réaliser un bilan carbone prévisionnel puis définitif pour bénéficier des aides du CNC.
