There is nothing better than seeing our collaborators achieve their goals with our microfluidic equipment! 🤩 Our partners Maria Chliara and Marianneza Chatzipetrou from National Technical University of Athens in Athens cultured lung cancer cells for 16 days outside the CO2 incubator with the lymph node model pack, developed in the frame of the Tumor-LN-oC project! This is the first step into developing the lymph node-lung cancer metastasis model on chip, the project's main goal. Few weeks ago, Ciro De Luca from University of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli" visited our offices to get training in microfluidics in the frame of THOR Project EU. The results of the 2024 EIC-Pathfinder call were published this week, and we are excited to announce that the MIC is part of project ERMES, led by NUNZIO TUCCITTO at the Università di Catania! 🤩 🎉 According to the European Innovative Council, 1119 proposals were submitted 😱, including a total of 5632 participants from 64 countries. The total indicative budget for this call is €136 million (average EU grant of €3 million). The graphs below, made by accelopment, illustrate the evolution of proposal submission and success rate in the last 10 years, with the 2024 call achieving an all-time high!
