Lava Network connects over 40 #blockchains through a single access point, simplifying how dApps, wallets, and exchanges handle blockchain data. With 160,000 daily users and 80 billion on-chain interactions, this infrastructure solution removes the need for developers to manage multiple nodes while maintaining high uptime across major chains like Ethereum, Near, and Solana. In our latest episode, Lava Network contributor Yair Cleper explains how the network's universal RPC compatibility creates reliable blockchain connections and how Web3 is moving from speculation to real applications. The discussion also covers post-quantum cryptography preparations, practical advice for launching blockchain projects, and what mass adoption needs to succeed. are you building a blockchain startup? some words of wisdom from last week's guest. enjoy reading.
2x Founder, CEO @ Magma Devs, building Lava Network—the amazon for any blockchain data. Customers include NEAR, Cosmos, Filecoin.
Building a blockchain startup? Your biggest challenge isn't what you think. We're in the middle of a "chains boom.” Everyone wants to create their own blockchain, form their own community and bring dapps to build on top. While tuning blockchain parameters is crucial, there’s an even more fundamental challenge: Bootstrapping your infrastructure. When you start, you might have a few developers, a few dapps. But what happens when you hit thousands of requests per second? Billions per day? You *need* scalable infrastructure… and that's where things get tricky. Going the traditional route, you’d run your nodes. Sounds good… until you realize you've got a team of five people just keeping things stable. That's five people not developing your code, your chain, your vision. The other option? Use centralized providers. But as the chain’s requests grow, so does the price — exponentially. And you're never sure if the product will be scalable and available when you need it most(hint: it will not, with dozens of examples from the past year only). Truth is, if your infrastructure fails, nothing else matters. Imagine a user opens their wallet and can't see their balance… …or a developer tries to build on your chain but keeps hitting errors. You might have great marketing. Developers might believe in your vision. But if that middle layer isn't working? You've lost the battle. In this industry, your infrastructure *must* be bulletproof. It needs to be scalable, resilient, and always available. Because in blockchain, your infrastructure isn't just supporting your business. It *is* your business. So, don't let infrastructure be an afterthought — make it your foundation.

Exactly why we have a book club... to read the whole damn book. We'd rather read four books well than 100 books poorly.
If you're also one of those who say things like reading entire books when summaries exist, what a waste of time. So inefficient. We can't be friends. I'm over people telling me genAI will replace all the fundamental human pursuits. That we can (and should) reduce masterpieces of art into 3 paragraph summaries dumbed down, stripped of prose and emotion. https://lnkd.in/dPPK9W9w
Why don't you just read the AI summary?

The European Crypto Landscape: Regulation, Innovation, and Challenges - With Coinbase. The European cryptocurrency landscape is rapidly evolving, with new regulations, innovative projects, and unique challenges shaping its future. We speak with Come Prost-Boucle, French Country Manager for Coinbase, about the current state of crypto in Europe. A major focus of the discussion is the upcoming Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation. This regulatory framework aims to provide clarity and standardization across the European Union, potentially giving Europe an advantage over other regions in terms of crypto adoption and innovation. Boucle explains how Coinbase is preparing for these changes, including plans to restrict services for stablecoins that don't meet MiCA requirements. The conversation also covers the growing interest in tokenization and real-world assets (RWAs) in Europe. With the tokenized asset market expected to reach $16 trillion by 2030, this represents a significant opportunity for the crypto industry. Boucle explains how Coinbase is working to make crypto more accessible through improved user experiences, such as smart wallets and simplified onboarding processes. #web3 #coinbase #crypto
