Hugh Carlson, Chief Executive Officer of Three Crowns LLP, will speak on the “When and How Should Law Firms Be Using Litigation Funding?” panel at the 3rd Annual International Litigation Finance Forum, hosted by Information Management Network (IMN). The one-day summit will gather a diverse group of investors, insurers, litigation funders, brokers, corporate claimants, law firms and service providers in this developing market, providing a platform for relationship building, thought leadership and business development in the litigation funding space. Three Crowns LLP will host a session on “New Dimensions for Arbitration: Managing Risk in Long-term Mining Projects”, as part of Australian Arbitration Week (AAW) 2024, which is organised by the Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (ACICA).   Partner Elizabeth Snodgrass and counsel Penny Martin will explore new dimensions for arbitration in mining disputes, focusing on risk mitigation in the form of stabilisation provisions, force majeure regimes and other mechanisms for managing political risk. Daryl Chew, a partner in the Singapore office of Three Crowns LLP, will deliver a lecture titled “Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a Tool in Mediation” at the 6th Asian Mediation Association (AMA) Conference, organised by the Supreme Court of the Philippines. The session will be moderated by Judge James T. Sy (Regional Trial Court, Branch 187, Manila) and feature Kevin Kwek (Singapore Mediation Centre), Dato Abdul Fareed Abdul Gafoor (Malaysian International Mediation Centre) and Cheselden George V. Tom Villalón, associate in the Washington DC office of Three Crowns LLP, will speak on a panel titled “The Importance of Written Advocacy in International Arbitration” at the Atlanta International Arbitration Society’s 13th Annual Conference in Atlanta, Georgia.   The panel will provide practical instruction on effective written advocacy in international arbitration proceedings. The panel will also cover topics including the nuts-and-bolts of legal writing, the different submission types in arbitration proceedings, writing for a multicultural audience, and the differences between writing for a court and writing for an arbitral tribunal.   Tom will speak alongside Abbey Pellino Hawthorne (ICC), Carson W.
