⚙ [Technical progresses] 🛠 As you may have seen recently our Muret building is taking more and more importance as the place where we receive, test and validate the parts of our Atea full-scale prototype. Last December, the 8 electrical engines of our Atea prototype were delivered at Muret where there are being tested and two weeks ago we received an important part of the propulsion system: the turbogenerator (TG). We chose to work with Turbotech Aero to provide Ascendance with this turbogenerator for its Atea prototype. This TG aims to produce electric power from fuel (SAF) to support or recharge the aircraft batteries depending on the different phases of the flight. As you can see in this test video (on the right with the turbine exhaust pipe), we started validating the integration and the performance of the TG within our hybrid-electric propulsion system, using our real-scale test bench GAIA, that is representative of the aircraft hybrid chain. It’s looking more and more concrete everyday (👏 to the Muret team) and we'll keep showing you our progresses in the upcoming months.
