Despite various efforts, 128 million boys and 122 million girls are still out of school, and 57% of the world’s children lack basic skills. If we continue on our current path, trillions of US dollars will be lost to economies worldwide by 2030. This emphasizes the urgent need to invest in education and skill development. It’s another UNESCO destination for the #OlympicTorchRelay! Today it is passing through Le Havre, the city rebuilt by Auguste Perret, a UNESCO #WorldHeritage Site since 2005. Located on the English Channel in Normandy, Le Havre was rebuilt between 1945 and 1964 after it was severely bombed during WorldWar Two. The city was reconstructed based on the plan of a team headed by Auguste Perret, and is now an outstanding post-war example of urban planning and architecture 🏙➡️ https://lnkd.in/eWnvBCG6
