It’s always a pleasure to reconnect with familiar faces and establish new connections within the gaming community. The conversations were nothing short of inspiring, as described by our on-site producers, Jingyao and Marie. If we had to sum up Gamescom, it’s an event made by gamers, for gamers. It consistently sets the standard with cutting-edge innovations and groundbreaking game releases. The Opening Night Live was a perfect demonstration of this, showcasing a stunning series of video games trailers that highlighted the immense investment, talent, and dedication the gaming industry pours into bringing their stories, characters, and environments to life for the enjoyment of players accross the world. Of course, we can’t talk about Gamescom 2024 without mentioning the standout moment: Tim Miller’s announcement of Secret Level during the Opening Night Live. The roller coaster of emotions was unforgettable, especially for our team at Unit Image, who are deeply involved in the project. The excitement of finally sharing Secret Level with the world, combined with the overwhelming reactions from everyone, brought some tears to our eyes.
