We had the pleasure to receive Tchabuka VERDZADZE in our Nantes office for a formal induction related to his promotion as Master on gas Tankers. That’s a major step in the life of seafarer: it is the culmination of a long process of training, familiarization, development, but it is also the start of a new adventure and challenge with new responsibilities, a new relationship with the owner, the shipmanager, the charterer, and on top of that the Master's Overriding Authority. Congratulations to Tchabuka for his Master position and looking forward for a long collaboration within V.Ships France Fleet.

Captain Jean-Sebastien FELDMAN, one of our most experienced and loyal Master, was appointed ashore during 2 weeks for preparing and then conducting an internal audit (TMSA) in Nantes office. Jean-Sebastien was ruthless, but was instructed to accordingly, allowing eventually to rectify some gaps. That’s definitely of benefit for shore and sea staff to interact more frequently, not during sailing period, but for achieving a specific mission with really new eyes (usually the office internal audits are conducted by shore staff). Such mission also participates to the development of our Senior Officers, and all voluntaries are more than welcome in office, for supporting the Company as a whole, and incidentally have the opportunity to harass the shore colleagues. At the end we are a Team, with the same Vision, working all for flawless operations.

A Vetting & PSC Seminar was held in our Nantes office on 11th & 12th of December 2023. Aim is to welcome our Top 4 Officers of different nationalities and different types of vessels (oil – chem – gas) in small group allowing to engage more easily and constructively the communication, share experiences and learnt from each other. In addition of the Crew Seminars, these seminars/workshops dedicated to Vetting & PSC are periodically organized for ensuring full awareness of processes and maintaining highest standards during inspections. That’s also an opportunity to share a good diner with our loyal Top Officers (some working for V.Ships France for 20 years!).
