Watch history being made! We are overjoyed to see Thibault, trained Test Pilot and brother of founder Nicolas Simon, walking the 2024 Summer Paralympic Torch Relay in our Personal Exoskeleton. This is the first public demonstration of the Personal Exoskeleton prototype for people living with tetraplegia (quadriplegia). We are advancing rapidly with clinical studies for this first-in-class device designed to provide entirely hands-free movement. The team is proud to support the spirit of the Games and the Paralympic Torch Relay, representing equality and peacefulness in France. Good luck to all the athletes!
Truly indescribable feeling to watch Thibault walk alongside his brother Nicolas Simon as he becomes the first person with tetraplegia to walk in the Paralympic Torch Relay. A moment made possible only with our prototype Personal Exoskeleton, the very technology Nicolas envisioned building over 10 years ago. Wandercraft was born out of Nicolas’ vision to see his brother Thibault walk again after losing mobility as a result of CMT disease. So we spent the last decade doing what everyone said was impossible: creating a self-balancing exoskeleton capable of carrying a person with very limited use of their arms and legs, like Thibault. Now our dream of offering the 30M people with a walking impairment the option to walk again is on the horizon. We can’t wait to see people walk, not only at big events but also in their everyday lives. I am even more excited to confirm that the Personal Exoskeleton prototype is currently in clinical studies for home use. #2024SummerParalympics #Paralympics 2024 #Paris2024 #FutureOfMobility
