William Reed Group, a global media company serving the agri-tech, food, beverage, retail and hospitality sectors, is proud to announce the appointment of Tracy De Groose as its new Chief Executive Officer, reporting into Charles Reed. Tracy brings a wealth of leadership experience and industry expertise to the role, marking a significant milestone in William Reed’s growth and strategic direction. In her new role, Tracy De Groose will oversee all aspects of William Reed’s global operations, including its portfolio of brands, digital platforms, exhibitions and events. Tracy previously served as UK CEO of Dentsu UK, where she led the business through a period of rapid growth and digital evolution. Most recently, Tracy served as Executive Chair of Newsworks, the news publishing industry’s marketing body. “We are thrilled to welcome Tracy to William Reed” said Charles Reed. “Tracy will be our first non-family CEO. Her proven track record of scaling brands and businesses, and her people-first mindset to leading change will be invaluable as we continue to evolve our business to meet the needs of our dynamic industries. Tracy’s appointment reflects our commitment to investing in leadership that enhances our long-term growth strategy.” Commenting on her appointment, Tracy De Groose said, “William Reed has a 160-year commitment to its purpose, its people, and the clients and audiences it serves. It has some incredibly strong brands, like The Grocer and World’s 50 Best. Over the last 20 years, the team have been successfully transforming the business during a period of significant digital disruption to deliver impressive growth and exceptional value for its customers. I feel honoured to have the opportunity to help shape the next stage of its growth." Tracy De Groose succeeds Charles Reed, who will continue to serve the business as Chair, when Mark Allin steps down at the end of the year. Charles will support and work with Tracy to continue the development of the business, liaising between the Board and Family shareholders to develop strong governance and succession planning and will play an ambassadorial role, representing the business and family where appropriate. For over 160 years, William Reed has been at the forefront of media, events, and market intelligence, delivering insightful content and business solutions to the agri-tech, food, beverage, retail and hospitality sectors. Tracy’s appointment reinforces the company’s commitment to maintaining its leadership position in these industries while expanding its capabilities in digital and global markets.

We could not be more excited to be shortlisted for PPA 2024 Award’s Event of the Year (Business Media) for our inaugural event for The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2023. We launched this extension to our programme of world-class events with the aim of creating a thriving hospitality community, shaping an inclusive future, creating networking opportunities and inspiring hotel teams to deliver the finest experiences. We worked with five iconic London hotels to bring to life a programme of innovative events across four days, from a live and live-streamed red-carpet awards ceremony to a first-of-its-kind ‘Meet the Hoteliers’ event, connecting international media with leading lights of the hotel world for discussions on the key industry issues. We brought together 915 attendees across the events, 52% of which were not UK based. 134 hoteliers from 41 different countries attended the ceremony, including representatives from every single hotel on the list. We also created a new, highly engaged social media audience with a suite of new social channels including Facebook, LinkedIn (with a following of 13k industry professionals), YouTube and Instagram, which has over 68k followers, growing 23k in the first week alone. But the thing we are most proud of was helping to connect hoteliers and hospitality workers from around the world. As our guests told us on the night: “This felt like a real community and a real moment for the industry.” Maybourne Executive. We can’t wait to see the results on the night of the awards and send our congratulations to everyone who has been nominated. Watch the highlights from the event below:

Absolutely brilliant few days at the National Convenience Show and The Restaurant Show 2024. A huge thanks to all our visitors and exhibitors for putting so much effort into making the shows such an unforgettable experience for all concerned. Bringing events on this scale to life is no mean feat and it is an absolute privilege to work with the best in the business, here at William Reed Ltd. The team's dedication, insight and expertise really are second to none and seeing the hours, days, weeks and months of hard graft distilled into 3 buzzing days on the exhibition floor makes it all worthwhile. In what was a tricky couple of days on a personal level I have to give a huge thank you to my team Joe Brammall, Catherine Lyne, Kwandi M., Simon Apps, Elliot Irving and Dunstan Harris - Your support meant the world and I am extremely proud of the results you have achieved. Now, onwards to April 2025 so we can do it all again! #NCS2024 #TRS2024
