HR Business Partner, Southern Europe

HR professionals – you’re vital in our fight against cybercrime.

Mimecast is looking for a team oriented Human Resources Business Partner to support the Southern Europe region (SEUR). The office is based in Paris, reporting into our Senior HR Director for Global Revenue who is based in Lexington Massachusetts so whilst part of a broader HR team, this role is stand alone in region. We are looking for an exceptional person with an HR generalist background to partner with our French team. We strive to provide all Mimecasters with a platform for high performance and agility - to do this we require a proactive HR team that is always there to support and enable success.

You will also be the primary HR contact of the local business leader to make sure the staff and organization are fully aligned and leveraged to serve the short-, mid- and long-term goals of the business.

The successful candidate will display a genuine passion for all areas of the HR lifecycle and programme delivery with the energy and drive to make a real difference. They will ensure a consistent approach and embody the Mimecast culture with every interaction, so all staff have an authentic experience. The ability to contribute to the development of the team as well as delivering in a standalone capacity are essential.

What You’ll Do

As Human Resources Business Partner you will be responsible for:

  • Leveraging prior experience in supporting induction, organisational development, performance management, and talent assessment to be a successful regional HR advisor.
  • Primary point of contact for employee relations matters, managing to proper resolution in line with company policy and local governance.
  • Provide counsel to management at all levels on people centric issues.
  • Be an advocate of change management as the company grows and shifts in priorities.
  • Collaborate with Regional HR Director to cascade global HR programmes within regional client groups in a way that is culturally aligned to location.
  • Assist leaders with overall organisational design, defining roles and responsibilities, and working with the HR Director and centres of excellence to appropriately define levels and career paths.
  • Drive culture and values programs throughout the company to ensure a motivated and engaged workforce.
  • Keep all HR data and benefits information up to date ensuring integrity of employee data at all times.
  • Take a hands-on approach to stream-lining processes and be comfortable responding to a broad range of HR queries on a day-to-day basis.

What You’ll Bring

  • Fluent in English and French is essential.
  • Working knowledge of French employment laws and regulations, Italian, and Spanish being a big plus.
  • Ability to collaborate and work in a matrix organized team environment
  • Advisory experience within a busy complex environment with the ability to plan and conduct multiple projects at any one time
  • A flexible approach, and very strong organisation and time management skills
  • Be comfortable responding to a broad range of queries on a day-to-day basis, a true generalist. A multitasker who remains calm and in control whilst under pressure
  • Ability to maintain trust and credible relationships with strong written and verbal communication skills to facilitate communication with a varied and diverse population
  • Ability to work at both the strategic and detailed transactional level with a strong understanding of and demonstrated expertise within the area of external and internal customer dynamics.
  • Solid understanding of business models, organisations and people
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
