Senior Brand Manager - France

Mission Statement
The Senior Brand Manager builds the strategic plans for the House of Suntory portfolio (Hibiki, Yamazaki, Toki, Chita, Roku, Haku) on the French market.
He/She is creating & implementing the long-term strategy for our prestige Japanese portfolio and linked activation plan, in collaboration with the Global Brand Houses, Suntory Global Spirits International teams, local commercial marketing teams, internal stakeholders & external providers.
Responsible for delivering the in-market success of brand initiatives across the Japanese spirits portfolio of Suntory Global Spirits (with strong priority on Prestige whiskies). His/her focus is on local market insight/expertise and plan development for local market success. Within this, he/she has responsibility for: brand stewardship through experience delivery and optimisation; strong local communication and PR activation; local partnership strategy and execution.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic brand building:
Frame HOS prestige DNA for France and linked portfolio strategy
Build the long term vision for our brands to become the leader in French Japanese whisky within 3 years
(Gemba) Insight:
Proactively gathers intelligence on competitive activities and on trends (Spirits and also more widely various lifestyle sectors), that can foster new ideas to develop our brands
Analyze and make recommendations based on brand in-market performance and various data sources
Contribute to quarterly brand updates and business reviews; lead monthly calls with Global Brand Houses, sharing competition / trade insights
Analyze business & financial challenges
Be responsible for budget management and Y+1 forecasting process, including ROI evaluation
Works closely with the Commercial Marketing team to ensure all in-store activities
Build relationships with cross-functional partners, including external agencies
Strategy & Planning:
Work with the Head of Marketing in the development and sign-off of the Brand’s 3 Year Growth plans, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Participate, with the Head of Marketing, in the identification of future growth opportunities and their potential, partnering with Sales and Finance
Recommend new product deployment and campaign execution
Complete post-mortems on key programs
Experience Design & Delivery:
Imagine & implement the experience plans for the brands – the overall approach to bringing to life the brands in market and determining the right set of touchpoints to do so. Lead agency management and a cross-functional team (Market Insights, Commercial Marketing, Media) in developing those final plans.
Work closely with the Digital teams and e-commerce teams to build digitally-oriented plans that take advantage of new market realities.
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

Good presentation skills, with ability to deliver sharp speeches
Digitally competent, strong interest in consumer and category trends as well as lifestyle brands environment
Proven team player with strong collaborative approach
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Master degree in Business School
Minimum of 6 years experience in a marketing role with proven experience of building luxury brand
Fluent French and English mandatory
KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to the Head of Marketing for France
Cross functional teams (e.g. Trade Marketing, Sales, Supply, Finance) locally and with the Global Brand House teams (Marketing & Business Development)
