- [Instructor] Closing the negotiation. You and your counterpart have reached agreements on every point in your negotiation after a lot of discussion and compromising. Now you'll want to make sure that the negotiation ends on a positive and effective note after what might have been some tense moments. Here's how to do it. You've already confirmed all the points of the agreement. So now it's time to consider what's next, especially if the negotiation has been a complex one. You can start with one of the following phrases, "So, what are our next steps? Let's take a look at what we need to do now. How should we proceed now?" Ming and Alex have come to agreements on all the points under discussion in their negotiation about employees, schedules, holidays and pay. Alex says, "So, what are our next steps?" Alex and Ming go on to recap the things they are responsible for following up on. Alex says, "I'll coordinate with HR on amending everyone's contract to include the additional days off."…
