🤖Technology Friday🤖 ❗Amazing Gyroscopic Motion❗ Understanding gyroscopic motion is crucial in various fields, including physics, engineering, and navigation. This phenomenon is primarily observed in rotating objects such as gyroscopes, spinning tops, or rotating wheels, resulting in certain characteristic effects. Applications using this kind of motion include navigation systems, gyrocompasses, stabilization systems in vehicles (such as ships, aircraft, and spacecraft), gyroscopic sensors in electronic devices, and toys like spinning tops. [Immersion 🔎] Step inside the world’s largest supersonic wind tunnel at ONERA - The French Aerospace Lab in Modane, France, where Safran Aircraft Engines is testing the ECOENGInE, a 1:5 scale demonstrator of the future Open Fan developed as part of the #CFMRISE program.   This disruptive architecture, a key pillar of the #CFMRISE technology demonstration program, is currently the most promising in terms of reducing aviation’s environmental footprint. Marvelous footage for Falcon 9’s Power Falcon 9’s both stages are equipped with Merlin 1D rocket engines. Every Merlin engine produces 854 kN (192,000 lbf) of thrust. The booster stage has 9 engines, arranged in a configuration that SpaceX calls Octaweb.[76] The second stage of the Falcon 9 has 1 short or regular nozzle, Merlin 1D Vacuum engine version.

Power Capability of Space X: Merlin Engines Merlin is a family of rocket engines developed by SpaceX for use on its Falcon 1, Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy launch vehicles. Merlin engines use RP-1 and liquid oxygen as rocket propellants in a gas-generator power cycle. The Merlin engine was originally designed for sea recovery and reuse, but since 2016 the entire Falcon 9 booster is recovered for reuse by landing vertically on a landing pad using one of its nine Merlin engines. The Merlin LOX/RP-1 turbopump used on Merlin engines 1A–1C was designed and developed by Barber-Nichols. It spins at 36,000 revolutions per minute, delivering 10,000 horsepower (7,500 kW). The LOX/RP-1 turbopump on each Merlin engine is powered by a fuel-rich open-cycle gas generator similar to that used in the Apollo-era Rocketdyne F-1 engine.

NACA-0012 airfoil simulation with deploying spoiler! Spoilers can be used to "dump" lift and make the airplane descend; or they can be used to slow the airplane down as it prepares to land. When the airplane lands on the runway, the pilot usually brings up the spoilers to kill the lift, keep the plane on the ground, and make the brakes work more efficiently. Process of spoiler deviation is being modeling using method of viscous vortex domains (VVD). Re = 40 000. Spoiler size is 10% of chord, spoiler's trailing edge is 20% far from airfoil's trailing edge. Angle of attack = 0. BC: no-slip at the surface, no-perturbations at infinity.
