CANADA | Selon certains experts, le marché du cannabis canadien pourrait passer d'un marché d'acheteurs à un marché de vendeurs. Selon Steve Clark du Canadian Cannabis Exchange: “We are seeing domestic supply shrinking in a number of ways. The closures of growing facilities and reduction of square footage of canopy in Canada. Historiquement, une pharmacopée est un recueil de normes en matière de contrôle qualité des médicaments. Il recense les plantes à usage thérapeutique, les matières d'origine animale ou minérale et plus récemment les substances chimiques à des fins pharmaceutiques entrant dans la composition d’un médicament 💊 Les Pharmacopées ne sont pas les seuls textes applicables aux industries. D’autres textes viennent compléter le dispositif de surveillance des médicaments comme les bonnes pratiques de fabrication (BPF) ou de distribution des médicaments (BPD). Plus spécifiquement, les guides de la profession, comme le guide des bonnes pratiques de fabrication des excipients (Joint IPEC/PQG GMP), servent de référence à la production et la distribution des gaz pharmaceutiques. To everyone in my #cannabis industry network, I can't stress enough how much I encourage you to join this work group if you haven't already. This work group is a phenomenal forum with participants from all over the cannabis supply chain - including decision makers from the provincial boards, and thought leaders from the LP, retailer, and solution provider side of industry - having in depth discussions about how we as an industry can standardize the way we do business at a nationally (with GLOBAL standards in mind). The conversations go well beyond just barcodes - think standard product attributes, standard ways of delivering and receiving data, standardized images and more. This work group has brought legitimate change to the industry for the better. Remember when each province required different barcodes? This work group was the driving force behind unifying all trading partners to align on a single standard so that everyone's lives were made easier. These are the sorts of things we discuss all the time. And, you don't need to be a GS1 Canada subscriber to participate. This is the place to advocate for how we can do business better, and more efficiently. Interested in joining? Check out the registration link below. As the international landscape for cannabis broadens both in geography and product diversity, acronyms such as GACP, EU-GMP, and IMC-GAP, find their way into regular conversation. Companies that would have once been hyper-focused on the domestic market are now considering export opportunities, and with that comes international regulation.

If you missed the PharmOut Pharma and Device Forum last week, we discussed many strategies for decreasing heavy metals in plant-based medicines. The European Pharmacopeia for cannabis flower, an Australian TGA default standard for ARTG goods, will become effective this Saturday, June 1st. The updated specifications, with their significant reductions, are a clear indication of our industry's commitment to product quality and safety. These changes, 15 times lower for As, 10 times lower for Pb, 5 times lower for Hg, and a decrease in the Cd spec from 0.5ppm to 0.3ppm, will undoubtedly enhance the quality of our products and the Australian Grown reputation. It's commendable to see that most Australian cultivators exporting products have proactively adapted to these changes since the beginning of the year. This proactive approach highlights the industry's dedication to remaining informed and compliant with evolving regulations. It would be interesting to see if the TGA updates TGO93 to allow Australian patients to benefit from the same strict standards as European patients. #CannabisIndustry #Compliance #RegulatoryUpdates

Bonne initiative, mais il faut s'assurer que ces matieres premieres fabriquees localement repondent aux exigences des normes et directives de l'OMS , FDA, et que le processus de fabrication a aussi les accreditations et les certifications necessaries car si demain nous envisageons d' exporter, le processus de l'homologation et de l'enregistrement ne se reposera pas.
